VICTORIA BALLARD BELL, AIA

 

Victoria Ballard Bell has Masters degrees from the University of Virginia in architecture and urban planning.   She was awarded a three-year Frederick P. Rose Architectural Fellowship with Design Corps, her husband Bryan Bell's non-profit architecture firm in Raleigh.  This Fellowship provided the framework for Bell to design, fundraise, and have built a job-training center in one of the nation's poorest communities in rural Alabama.

Previously she worked for Steven Holl,
Kenneth Hobgood and William Sherman.  In 2007 she formed Ballard Bell Architecture.  She has taught community-based design and planning studios at the NCSU College of Design and published
Materials for Design with Princeton Architectural Press. 


2008 - Bell designed this house for the New American House Project in Raleigh.  Not yet built.
