ALAN INGRAM (1929-)

Alan Ingram is an previous associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects, the Royal Canadian Institute of Architects, and the NCARB.   Says Ingram, "I am not from around these parts.  I am American by act of Congress, and southern by grace of God."  Opening an office in Charlotte in 1960, he practiced architecture internationally for nearly fifty years, designing houses and later industrial and retirement facilities.


 

1962 - The Lorna Booker House, Black Skimmer Road, Hilton Head Island SC.  Connected to a screened in porch bridge between two buildings.  Project architect was Crutcher Ross.


1962 - House on Hilton Head Island SC.  Barrel vault house next door to the Booker House.  Project architect was Crutcher Ross.


1960 - The David and Lila Mann Residence, 1141 Lynbrook Drive, Charlotte. Sold in 1991 to Mary Kay Benz.  A 1500 sf addition was put on at some point. Sold in 2002 to William and Sue Davis.   Sold in 2005 to Ronald Crider.  Sold in 2006 to Michael and Lauren Carroll.  Sold in 2010.


1961 - The Norman S. and Paula Musler Residence, 5601 Riviere Drive, Charlotte.  Built by a Mr. Thompson, according by Paula Musler.  Sold in 2003 to current owners Debra Castro and Wesley Moore who did a renovation.
