MICHAEL LEE STANDLEY, AIA (1966-)

Standley grew up in Norfolk VA.  In 1988, he interned with Skidmore Owens and Merrill.  He graduated from Virginia Tech in architecture in 1989.  

After graduation, he worked for 10 years with Clark Nexsen.  There he met architect Michael Williams, with whom he started Liquid Design in 2000.


2004 - The Robert Bond Residence, a 7000 square feet house on Lake Norman.  Commissioned in 2002.  The tower yields a terrific view to the lake and the pool.
