CHARLES EDWARD WOODALL, AIA
(1934-)

Woodall attended the NC School of Design then worked for three years with John Latimer.  He then went into business with his college roommate George Smart to form Smart Woodall.  Max Isley joined later, as did Troy Herring, and the firm was called Smart Woodall Isley and Herring.  Woodall left in 1974 to join Alpha Design Group with Ron Collier. He has retired but runs a limited practice out of Deep Run NC.

About 1970 - The Joe and Venetia Kue House, 3216 Circle Drive, Farmville NC.

  

About 1981 - His own house at 2913 Debra Drive, Raleigh.  Sold to artist Carolyn Goodridge in 2005.  Sold to current owners Bradley and Kelley Chisholm in 2006.  With solar panels, the house is four levels.

About 1990 - The Robert and Lucy Sherman Residence. 358 Olde Point Loop, Hampstead NC.  This was an extensive renovation of an existing ranch.  It was renovated again in 2007, with the Shermans acting as their own contractor.  Woodall is currently working on a second renovation.
